In the News: Scotia protestors make 'good trouble' in honor of Lewis

In his article for The Daily Gazette, Ted Remsnyder covers the "Good Trouble Lives On" memorial held in Scotia to honor and celebrate the life of former Georgia Congressman John Lewis on the fifth anniversary of his passing. At the event, Unite NY's Capital Region Organizer, Riley Hart, was helping to garner support for crucial election reforms. 

As Remsnyder wrote, "Riley Hart, organizer for the Unite NY, a nonprofit focused on election reform, called on Thursday for New York to implement term limits for state politicians, to introduce ranked choice voting and for independent voters to be allowed to vote in party primaries, which they currently are excluded from."
