SEVEN INDEPENDENT BODIES SEEK BALLOT STATUS

The Yonkers Times recently outlined the effort Unite NY and others have undertaken seeking ballot status in New York. New York State has one of the more restrictive and exclusionary ballot access thresholds in the nation, requiring more than 45,000 signatures – roughly the population of the city of Binghamton – to get a candidate on the ballot.
