John Johnston

John Johnston has been involved in community and political activism for over 20 years. He has significantly contributed to urban revitalization as the Executive Director of the Kings Highway Beautification Association and has held key roles in NYC government, including Director of Field Support for Case Management in the Mayor’s Office of Housing Recovery. His political experience includes leading Michael Bloomberg’s reelection campaign efforts in Brooklyn as Borough Campaign Coordinator, playing an integral role in the Mayor’s reelection through borough-wide “Get Out the Vote” initiatives. Additionally, he served as Community Affairs Director for Senator/Council Member Martin J. Golden, managing a $100M program budget and leading community outreach and event planning. John also runs Windsor Terrace Consulting, leveraging his extensive expertise to provide strategic guidance. He holds a Master’s Degree in Urban Planning from Hunter College, a Master of Arts in Political Science from Brooklyn College, and a Bachelor of Arts in History and Government from Skidmore College. Actively involved in his community, John serves on Community Board 7 in Brooklyn, is a member of the Boy Scouts, and participates in various non-profits.
