David Green, a representative from Unite NY, spoke for broader election reform that would stop excluding millions of New Yorkers in the primary elections by introducing an open primary system. “These are things that everyone is paying for,” Green said. “And yet they can’t participate in half of elections. They can only participate in general elections, not the primary.”
